During the months of March and April 2026, Ultracargo carried out the Silk Road 2.0 Mission in China, a strategic initiative aimed at the technical benchmarking and diversification of its global supply chain. The committee comprising Rafael de Andrade Barbosa (Engineering and Construction Head), Luiz Fernando Moraes de Andrade (Process Specialist Engineer) and Fabiane Medeiros Dias França (Supply Specialist), visited the China International Petroleum & Petrochemical Technology and Equipment Exhibition (CIPPE), the largest petroleum and petrochemical technology fair of the world, held in Beijing. The central objective was the mapping of innovative technologies and suppliers of critical items for the operation of its terminals, such as pipes, valves, flexible hoses and measuring instruments, strengthening the prospection schedule launched by the company in November 2025.

The mission included an agenda of technical visits to five industrial sites, traveling over 3,100 km to evaluate the productive infrastructure of manufacturers like HG Steel Pipe and Cosco. The international market offers solutions that fully meet the safety and quality standards for compliance with API and ISO norms. During the event, the mission team presented Ultracargo’s operational profile, also establishing direct communication channels with global suppliers by presenting evidence regarding the potential of the Brazilian logistics market for adoption of high-performance components.

The data collected during the expedition will now underpin the coming steps by the company, including the formal qualification of new partners and performance of pilot tests in operational units. Among the projects the installation of density measuring equipment in the lines at the Itaqui Terminal is planned as well as the use of new loading arms and flexible hoses at Vila do Conde. By adoption of a direct import procedure with control via technical verification, the reliability of assets involved will be raised, and access to leading-edge equipment that contribute to the operational efficiency and maintenance of strict safety standards of the company’s terminal network in Brazil will be ensured.
