Opla, a joint venture between bp and Ultracargo, finished the construction of a new tank with capacity to store 20 thousand cubic meters at the Paulínia Terminal in São Paulo, raising its total storage capacity to approximately 202 thousand m³.
The new asset will be used initially for the storage of anhydrous ethanol, making other structures available to handle gasoline, a product that will from now on be part of the terminal’s logistic operation. The addition of this new tank increases the terminal’s flexibility to meet market demands and agriculture crop seasonality.
Connected to the road, pipeline, and rail transportation modals, the terminal strengthens its performance as a multimodal logistics hub. Its integration with Rondonópolis enables transport of corn ethanol from Mato Grosso to São Paulo and, in the opposite direction, delivery of petroleum derivatives for the agribusinesses.
