On May 20, Ultracargo released the third edition of “Safety: The Stop that Connects”, the event that promotes a simultaneous one-hour interruption of the activities at all terminals and headquarters for a period dedicated exclusively to safety. With the motto “To serve, Connect and Care,” the action gathered coworkers and leaderships in a mobilization aimed to strengthen a culture of accident prevention, backing the company’s commitment with the care and protection of people in all operations.

Since its launch, the initiative has been bringing together company leaders from various locations across the country, creating opportunities for dialogue, knowledge sharing, and active listening among teams. The event reinforced that safety is a daily, collective responsibility built on aligned actions, risk awareness, and shared accountability across the organization. During the initiative, the company highlighted the following message: ‘Incidents occur when we are not prepared for the unexpected — and the unexpected, by definition, can always happen.’ Therefore, it is essential to remain attentive every day, following the established procedures strictly, ensuring the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and adopting a preventive mindset in all activities, including routine tasks.

The pillars ‘To serve, Connect and Care’ guided discussions during the meeting, translating principles that are already observed during the company’s daily operations. To connect means to align people, teams, and leaderships around a common purpose; to serve means the quest for excellence with accountability; and to care strengthens the commitment to place life at the center of each decision. More than only institutional messages, these values are seen in the performance of daily operations, in the respect of procedures and in the establishment of ever safer environments. The Stop that Connects boosts the company’s accident prevention culture in a moment dedicated to reflection, exchange of experiences and strengthening of the collective commitment to safety.
