Recognition includes Ultracargo among the 5% worldwide most sustainable companies regarding corporate sustainability
15/02/2026

For the second year in sequence, Ultracargo is awarded the EcoVadis Gold Medal, from one of the leading global platforms for the evaluation of corporate performance regarding sustainability. This recognition reinforces the consistency of the company’s ESG strategy and places it, once again, among the top worldwide 5% evaluated companies.

The maintenance of the gold medal highlights the solidity and maturity of the company’s ESG management system, based on structured processes, clearly defined goals, and permanent focus on improvement. The result reflects the progress achieved in strategic areas such as environment, ethics, and sustainable procurement, as well as the performance with a high standard in labor practices and human rights issues.

The actions that contributed to this achievement include the use of 100% certified renewable energy since 2021; less waste forwarded to landfills; the “Cuidar Bem” (Care Well) Program focused on preventive health initiatives for employees; the implementation of training and permanent communication regarding prevention and risk management; the implementation of integrity, compliance, and ESG development programs for suppliers; initiatives aimed at professional training and positive impact on the communities where the company operates, among other pertinent issues.

“We have advanced consistently in our sustainability journey, and the new achievement is a direct result of responsible decisions, with cross-area integration, and incorporation of sustainability into the business strategy,” celebrates Karla Grativol, executive director of Ultracargo’s People, Communication and Sustainability Program.

Portfolio of recognitions
The renewal of the EcoVadis Gold Medal adds to other important awards that consolidate the company’s commitment to ESG:

  • ● The “Pact for Sustainability” Diamond Seal, awarded by the Ministry of Ports and Airports, which represents the highest recognition level for companies that distinguish themselves in management, governance, sustainability, and operational efficiency in the port sector;
  • ● EcoVadis Gold Medal, which placed Ultracargo within the 5% globally best evaluated companies in Corporate Social Responsibility practices (CSR);
  • ● Gold Seal of the Brazilian GHG Protocol Program, conquered for the third consecutive year, attesting the highest level of excellence in the elaboration of greenhouse gas emission inventories (GEE);
  • ● Friend of the Ocean Seal: awarded in recognition of the company’s good environmental practices at the Port of Suape (PE).
  • ● Great Place to Work Seal (GPTW), obtained in 2025 second time in a row, reflecting the company’s culture of inclusion and diversity.

“With this additional recognition, we consolidate a portfolio of certifications that reaffirm our ongoing commitment to generating responsible value, transparency, and the continuous evolution of environmental, social, and governance standards,” concludes the company’s director.
