As part of the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Master Plan 2024–2026, Ultracargo carried out, in April 2025, the first edition of the event Recognition of Excellence in HSE, with the purpose of rewarding and recognizing partner companies that excelled in safety practices.
The initiative, aligned with the company’s tactical and operational planning strategy, identified companies with best performance in a ranking based on the Operational Reliability Index (ORI) in HSE. This indicator considers factors such as accident rates, PPE usage audits, machine and equipment inspections and compliance with legal safety requirements.
The evaluation was conducted by a committee formed by HSE leaders, contracted as well as Ultracargo terminal managers. The four chosen winners were selected from among the ten companies with the highest scores in the overall ranking:
- Diamond: Nutrihouse (Suape)
- Gold: FTS (Santos)
- Silver: Verzani & Sandrini (Suape)
- Bronze: Rema Tip Top (Suape)
The award strengthens the company’s commitment to the ongoing evolution of safety culture and the promotion of good practices throughout the value chain. “Recognizing partners who share our concern for safety and the integrity of people, the environment, and operations is essential to inspire and consolidate increasingly responsible and reliable performance,” points out Aline Fonseca, Executive HSE Manager at Ultracargo.
