Ultracargo recently concluded a relevant stage of modernization at its Santos Pier Terminal, with the total replacement of the loading area roof structure. The operation involved the use of large capacity cranes to lift structural modules and was the result of stringent engineering planning. Each phase of the process was designed to ensure the necessary precision in an activity of such magnitude, reinforcing the company’s commitment to the constant updating of its assets.

The success of the initiative resulted from the integration of specialized teams and technical detailing applied at each stage of the project. Over months of work, the execution was guided by precise calculations and responsible decisions, ensuring that the transition to the new coverage would occur smoothly. More than a physical improvement, the project represents a strategic advancement in the operational capacity of the unit, providing a more modern and efficient loading environment for the port’s logistical flow.

“Safety was the central collum of the entire journey, based on absolute operational discipline. In addition to the use of leading-edge equipment, the operation prioritized clear communication between teams and constant attention to possible risks. This project reaffirms the trajectory of Ultracargo’s evolution in infrastructure projects, where innovation goes hand in hand with operational care. The company continues investing in technology and infrastructure with the same severeness that guides our daily routine: diligence regarding details, teamwork, and an unwavering commitment to safety” states Rafael Andrade Barbosa, head of Engineering and Construction at Ultracargo.

According to him, with the delivery of the new structure the Santos terminal now has a more robust installation suitable for the current sector demands, reinforcing the unit’s role as one of the company’s main logistical assets.
